Greensboro, NC — Local technology fans celebrated this morning with the opening of a brand new Apple store in Greensboro.

Ian Meyer, who camped out overnight to be the first person inside, grabbed the opportunity to do some impromptu job hunting for himself. Meyers’ tee shirt contained his promotional message du jour.

The store in the Friendly Shopping Center opened its doors at 10 a.m. Hundreds lined up Saturday morning to be among the first in the Piedmont to look inside the retail home base for iPods, PowerBooks and anything with Mac DNA.

They were pretty cool. I talked to Gedeon Maheux a bit outside, and after the store was open, I don’t remember which one of them brought me a Frenzic pin, a nice Iconfactory pin, and a window sticker.
